Chef Tips for the Brownie Recipe

For people learning how to make brownies at home, here are some tips to help you out.

Fudgy vs Cakey Brownies:

To make your brownies fudgier than cakey, add the melted chocolate and more butter than the flour. The fudgy brownie batter takes longer to bake. To make your brownies cakier, skip the melted chocolate. The flour should also be more than the butter.

How to get a crackly top?

The delicious crackly top of brownies comes from adding melted chocolate or chocolate chunks in the batter. If you skip these two, your brownies will have a top similar to the cakes.

Brownie toppings:

While brownies are delicious on their own, you can add toppings for more flavor. You can top your brownies with chocolate sauce or sprinkle with some powdered sugar. You can also serve hot brownies with ice cream.
